Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Orion collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151 of 2020) in mind.

1. What we collect

Account details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, secondary year and type of school, and for teachers the details of their profile.

Study activity: the lectures you open and how far you watch, exam and challenge results, study plans and tasks, points, badges and streaks.

What you write: questions to teachers, messages to support, and what you ask the AI tutor.

Payment records: which subject and month a payment is for and its status, as needed to open your access.

Device and technical data: the devices signed in to your account, notification tokens if you turn notifications on, and basic technical logs.

2. Why we use it

To run your account and show you your subjects; to track progress and build study plans; to let teachers follow and support their own students; to confirm payments; to keep accounts and content secure, including limiting devices; to send notifications you have turned on; and to understand and improve how the platform is used.

3. Who can see your data

Teachers and their assistants see the study activity and results of students registered in their own subjects. Other students see only what leaderboards show: your name and your points or rank.

We use service providers for hosting, media storage and delivery, notifications, analytics and AI processing. They handle data on our behalf and only as needed to provide those services. Some of them may store data outside Egypt.

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose it to authorities only when the law requires it.

4. Cookies and similar storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and theme, and measure how the site is used. You can clear them in your browser; signing in will set the essential ones again.

5. Children and guardians

Most of our students are under 18. A student under 18 should register with a parent's or guardian's consent. A guardian may contact us to see, correct or delete their child's data.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open and for as long afterwards as needed for legal, accounting or security reasons, then delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Security

We protect data with measures such as encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access limited by role and device sessions you can review. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account has been used by someone else.

8. Your rights

You can see and edit much of your data in your profile and settings. You may also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop a use you had agreed to. We will answer within the time the law sets. Some data must be kept where the law requires it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the app about changes that matter.

10. Contact

For any privacy question or request, use the contact details at the bottom of the home page or Support inside the app.
