Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Orion, an online learning platform for secondary students in Egypt. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them.

1. Who can use Orion

Orion is for students, teachers and the staff who work with them. If you are under 18, you may use Orion only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

2. Your account and devices

Your account is personal. Do not share your password or let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what is done through it.

To protect teachers' content, an account can be signed in on a limited number of devices. We may sign out devices or suspend an account that appears to be shared.

3. Subjects, fees and access

Creating an account is free. Each teacher sets the fee for their subject, charged per subject, per month. The fee and the ways to pay are shown in the app before you pay.

A month's lectures open once its payment is confirmed. A payment covers that month's content only. If you believe a payment was recorded in error, contact us and we will look into it with the teacher.

Some features depend on your plan and may have daily or monthly limits. The limits that apply to you are shown in the app.

4. Content and how you may use it

Lectures, notes, questions and other materials belong to the teachers who made them or to Orion. They are for your own study only.

You may not record, download, copy, publish, sell or share any content, or help others to do so. A lecture may have a limit on how many times it can be watched.

5. Acceptable behaviour

Be respectful in questions, answers and any other place where you write. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive or unrelated to study, and do not try to cheat in exams, challenges or leaderboards.

Do not attempt to break, overload or get around the platform's security or limits.

6. The AI tutor

Orion includes AI features that answer questions and build study plans. They are a study aid: their answers can be incomplete or wrong, and they do not replace your teacher or your textbook. Check anything important with your teacher.

7. Points, badges and streaks

Points, levels, badges, streaks and ranks are there to encourage study. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged or transferred. We may correct them if they were earned by error or by breaking these terms.

8. Suspension and closing an account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing the account or distributing content. Where possible we will tell you why and how to ask for a review.

You may stop using Orion at any time and may ask us to close your account.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep Orion available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we do not guarantee any exam result. To the extent the law allows, Orion is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the platform.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the app about changes that matter. Continuing to use Orion after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact details at the bottom of the home page or through Support inside the app.
